Take a deep breath, relax, have a cup of coffee, tea, chocolate or whatever else you like and follow us in the mysterious and fascinating world of hadrons and of the strong force to which they obey. We are going to introduce you to the largest initiative ever taken in this field: the European Programme HadronPhysics2, in the framework of which more than 2500 researchers from 150 Institutes out of 35 countries are joining their efforts to achieve a deeper understanding of what seems to be one of the most well-preserved secrets of Nature.
Ok, are you comfortable? Did you take a sip of your coffee? If so, you just swallowed millions and millions of hadrons! Yes, since the protons and neutrons which are in the core of an atom, in its nucleus, are just hadrons! There are many others, wearing strange names: Λ, Σ, ρ, π.... which we create and study in our accelerators or are formed by the interactions of the cosmic rays in the atmosphere.
We are going to share with you the mysteries of hadron physics and let you know HP2 and its many type of activities as well as the people and istitutions who are involved.
You'll find a lot of material, including videos, where we share with you not only information about the project, but intimate thoughts about the importance of research and opportunities of doing it in Europe.
You are getting news and event information and you can ask questions or make suggestions directly to us!
We welcome you to the HadronPhysics2 world!
